Interactive map Spain – E7 Section Trail: from Bezas to Albarracín (Trail 14)
Trail description
A scenic and culturally rich stage of the E7 / GR 10 from Bezas to Albarracín (19.4 km, approx. 5h 40m). The trail passes through the Pinares de Rodeno Protected Landscape, following forest paths, sandstone formations, and the Cabrerizo Ravine. Highlights include prehistoric rock art ensembles (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the Dornaque Interpretation Centre, and the Alto del Puerto viewpoint, offering stunning views of the Iberian System. The route descends to the historic town of Albarracín, ending near the Arrabal district and the Guadalaviar River. Ideal for hikers interested in combining natural beauty with cultural heritage.
Trail type
The trail offers a mix of natural surfaces, including forest paths, rocky sections, and some uneven sandstone areas, so hikers can expect variation underfoot. The route features generally moderate ascents and descents, though a few steeper sections appear near viewpoints, adding gentle challenges along the way. Signage is clear and reliable, with GR 10 and E7 markers guiding the route and key points well indicated for orientation. For rest and refreshment, there are visitor centers at Dornaque and Prado del Navazo, as well as shaded areas under pine trees, providing comfortable spots to pause and enjoy the surroundings.
